Protection System

Our astragal (seal between the doors) eliminates the air and water leakage problems common with many double doors. Patented three-point sealing system between the active door, sill, and inactive door means no more leaks. The system prevents damage to the astragal between the doors by lifiting the floating seal off the threshold, providing long-lasting protection against leakage.

• The high dam threshold features a continuous composite base that will not rot or warp. Rail and nose is available in light oak woodgrain or dark brown woodgrain. Aluminum sill is available in brass, mill, or bronze finishes.
• Adjustable composite rail, with patented flexible seal interlocks and high dam aluminum sill, for a virtually impenetrable barrier between the threshold and the interior of the house. Features a five-year warranty.

• Seaway’s Eternal Door Frame utilizes Alaskan Yellow Cypress at the bottom of the frame, where it is most susceptible to rot and deterioration. This is a natural solution that guards against rot, decay, and insect damage, utilizing one of the planet’s most durable and rot-resistant wood products. Also, the Eternal Door Frame is end-sealed for added protection. The Eternal Door Frame is a standard feature on every Seaway Select door and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

• Durable Q-Lon™compression weather-stripping creates a perfect, weather-tight seal between the door and the jamb for maximum sealing against air and water infiltration

• Extended sill elevates the jamb to reduce water exposure, while the Eternal Door Frame prevents water wicking

• Specially-designed, patent-pending Leading Edge™ corner pads use a cutout to create a low pressure cavity that prevents and eliminates associated leaks under stormy conditions.

• Adjustable oak-look composite threshold allows simple height adjustment, to create a perfect seal between the door and threshold, eliminating voids or gaps that can lead to water or air infiltration

• Tubular bulb and center fin bottom door sweep weather-stripping, with outer rain fin, diverts water away from the door and threshold
