Seaway Manufacturing Corporation promoted its Vice President, Jana Glenzer Goodrich, to President, effective January 1, 2010.
Goodrich’s change in title more accurately reflects her roles of oversight and guidance in all daily operations as well as her leadership in the formulation of policy and strategy at Seaway.
Seaway’s former President and CEO, Michael Goodrich, will remain active in Seaway’s strategy formulation and planning, as well. His position will now be Chairman and CEO. “Our Seaway team is gearing up for a successful 2010, and we’re off to a great start already. I wish to acknowledge Jana Goodrich for her significant contribution and dedication to the continual improvement of Seaway… Please join me in congratulating her as she leads Seaway into the future,” said Michael Goodrich.
Prior to serving as the vice president of Seaway Manufacturing, Jana Goodrich earned numerous honors in each of her professional ventures. Ms. Goodrich worked for two Fortune 500 companies, as a territory marketing representative for Xerox, and as a systems engineer for IBM. She left IBM to raise a family and complete her graduate education. In 1994, she founded and served as President of Executive Education Services, a management consulting firm, for many years. Shortly after completing her MBA, Ms. Goodrich accepted a full-time position as a college professor at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, teaching management and marketing. During her tenure at Penn State Behrend, she also directed several key initiatives in the Sam & Irene Black School of Business, including programs that were recognized at both national and international conferences. Throughout her career, Ms. Goodrich has served on the boards of directors of several civic groups and service organizations.
